WHAT THE CRITICS ARE SAYING ABOUT TERRA

Some comments thus far!:

"This musical journey impresses the listener with a fearless creativity and vision that has become rare in today's music industry. It hearkens back to the golden age of the concept album while highlighting Alexandrakis' unique talent." - The National Herald

"Indeed, a first encounter with Alexandrakis’s particular brand of ‘60s-inspired psychedelic rock might evoke a feeling similar to getting hit in the side of the head with a red-hot, tie-dye-painted frying pan full of rusty nails and glitter. It’s a pretty intense experience." - Suny Fredonia Leader

"Come fly on Air Terra, you won’t be disappointed." - Camosun Nexus

"Listening to Terra to the end was an enjoyable breeze. It’s difficult to put into words, but this flight on EA918 is something most people should experience at least once." - Bandersnatch

"Extremely creative and different than any musical sound I’ve ever heard before." - The Equinox

"The album deeply expresses the unpredictability of life in all its mess and beauty, along with the feelings that inevitably coincide with it." - The Tower

"None of the songs are mundane, and Alexandrakis took care to avoid any self-indulgent tropes by making the tunes humorous." - Kenyon Collegian

"This double album of 28 songs is the perfect listen for those who enjoy eclectic alternative music." - The Prairie News

"Rather, its strength is evident in its uniquely ambitious approach in overstepping the boundaries of well-established music genres." - UC New University

TERRA LP NOW AVAILABLE!

TERRA is here!

Today is my birthday, so I am sharing the gift I gave to myself...the launch of my new Avant-Alternative travel concept album TERRA.

Welcome to Air Terra Flight EA 918. We hope that you are comfortable, and properly acclimated for this journey through TERRA. You will experience sensations....colors...places ...people......we will dance...we will laugh...we will cry...and occasionally ask "Why?":

https://push.fm/fl/hu4cv3dh

Written and recorded around the world in mostly single takes, and on a 16-track recorder, the idea was the challenge myself to play everything while forcing the best ideas out with very little means [16 tracks]. A few friends contributed including John Taylor [ Duran Duran ], Steve Ferrone [ Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Duran Duran George Harrison BeeGees Eric Clapton Slash Michael Jackson and everyone else you can think of], composers/producers Starr Parodi & Jeff Fair and their up and coming violinist/pianist/ vocalist/songwriter daughter Isolde Fair [singing in the video], the choptastic Kirk Kelsey [ The Smashing Pumpkins Keith Urban ], and a few other technical and spiritual advisors who've made a world of a difference.

Seat and tray tables in the upright position please.

GRAMMY® NOMINATION!

I am proud to announce that I have been nominated for a GRAMMY® AWARD in the "Best Spoken Word Album" category. Thank you so much to everyone who has encouraged and supported me from the beginning and beyond. It has meant more to me than I can express.

This project was a complete labour of love. The music included is what launched my career, and gave me solace during a very difficult time. My hope is to get this album to as many people possible who may also be facing their own life-altering struggle. Please feel free to pass it on to anyone who may need it.

Thank you to my family, friends, Academy members, and last but not least, to John Taylor and Patty Palazzo for being the spark behind my professional flame.

Let's party!

Love, Me

NEW PRODUCTION RELEASE!

It's the project that keeps on giving and grooving!

Today is the release date of yet another cool component of one of my favorite projects/artists I've been involved with.

Pennan Brae "The Astronot: Gravity" is the part 2 album companion to Pennan's award-winning film "The Astronot", and soundtrack by the same name.

"The Astronot" album sounds as if The Rolling Stones Fleetwood Mac and bands of that ilk from the 70's, all got together and grew a gentle young man in a test tube. The new "Gravity" album sounds more like Rock, the London underground club scene, and your 1985 12" collection got drunk together and took Sonny Crockett's Testarossa for a joyride crashing it into a cocaine warehouse somewhere way down on Collins Ave. on South Beach. How's that for a selling point?

My contributions include playing, co-production and co-writing on both releases, and also features an assortment of lovable friends and beasts including:

Album mixes and remixes by "KIRRKKCCHHH" Kirk Kelsey [ The Smashing PumpkinsKeith UrbanRobin Thicke ], single remix by Paul David Hager [ Miley CyrusKaty PerryBeckDevo ], mastering by Sean Magee [ The Beatles ] @ Abbey Road Studios & Emily Lazar [ Foo FightersDavid BowieColdplay ], with drums from Steve Ferrone [ Tom Petty and the HeartbreakersDuran Duran , George HarrisonSlash ], Garry Gary Beers [ INXS ], some additional guitar work from axe beast Mark Scan, and various others.

Get a load of some of the awards the music from "The Astronot" film has won below. Make sure to listen to "Strut [1980's Remix]" for a laugh, and if you can find a white linen suit to put on while you listen, it'll couldn't hurt [a music video for the track is coming soon]! We produced it to sound like it's straight from your 1985 12" extended mixes collection...or my collection anyway, as I carry about 400 12" mixes from the 1980's in my phone. It's an obsession, I know. I'm seeking 12" therapy, mixer Kirky was a DJ in those days and he's helping me with my treatments.

It's available for download and streaming everywhere, but it sounds best here:  http://tiny.cc/AstroGravity
